I had been looking forward to trying the Sunday Roast at Jam Shack for so long. The pop-up at Elmos was fully booked, so I was thrilled to finally secure a reservation for Mother's Day at The Mount in Chingford. The food, especially the slow-cooked lamb, was seasoned to perfection, the rum cake, was amazing, and the overall vibe was exceptional!!!
The customer service was exceptional! The entire team of professionals were welcoming, attentive and efficient. The Food was DELICIOUS!’ 10/10. Every bit of food exuded flavour, was cooked to perfection and was a good portion- coming from a Jamaican who can cook, I was very pleased and proud. I will be back and spreading my positive experience!
The food is SO delicious, one of the best Caribbean roasts I’ve ever had, if not the best. We had the prawns to start and I could swim in that jerk sauce! The chicken was cooked perfect, lots of flavour, fluffy rice, mac and cheese bang on. Only thing that would have improved the meal is a good selection of rum cocktails, but appreciate you are based in a pub with their own drink menu. We had no problem getting a table, the hostesses was lovely (we’ve been twice now) and didn’t have to wait long for table or food. 10/10 I really hope you get your own permanent restaurant in central London sooooon.
The food at Jam Shack Caribbean Roast is absolutely amazing! The flavours are authentic and bursting with spices that bring a true taste of the Caribbean. The portions were generous, and everything was freshly prepared. The jerk chicken and plantains were perfectly cooked, and the pork was tender and flavourful. The staff were friendly and attentive, making the experience even better. I highly recommend this spot to anyone craving authentic Caribbean cuisine. Can’t wait to come back for more!
The food here is AMAZING! I got the Lamb & the apple crumble and everything was amazing! This is my second time here and I will continue to come back. The customer service was so nice, so polite, friendly and helpful! Please come here, no faults
I've been waiting for this food and the jerk sea bass since end of 2021 since we had it as a takeaway. The food is out of the world and transcendental . The fish is perfectly cooked , the jerk sauce is not too spicy. You can taste the sweetness of the carrots with the roast veg . The potatoes are crispy and seasoned amazingly almost like an Indian dish. The rice and peas . I wish there was more rice and peas. Plantain is not too sweet but just ripe enough that it melts in your mouth. The rum punch mocktail was transporting me to the Carribbean . I drank it all. Compliments to the chef !!! One of the best Carribbean food in East London as an Afro-Carribean person and I've tried a lot in the area . Service is good too staff are friendly . The pub ... Atmosphere is a bit too loud but otherwise fine. I had a brief taste of the families dessert and if I wasn't stuffed I'm going back to try the dessert ! Until next visit . Thank you guys
I had an amazing experience at The Jam Shack based in The Mount Pub in Chingford! From the moment I walked in, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive. The service was quick, friendly, and made us feel right at home. The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Every dish we tried was a standout. You can tell they take pride in what they serve. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for great food and great service. I’ll definitely be coming back! The host Bookie made our experience even better then I could imagine!
I’ve had several recommendations for a while about coming here and finally got to come yesterday. We were blown away by the food! Best I’ve ever had - big statement. The lamb, the jerk chicken. Flavours flavours flavours - could not fault a thing. Thank you Jamshack, I will be back!
